Jim is the Founder and Managing Director of James F. Reda & Associates, and served for over 20 years as advisor to the top management and boards of major national and international corporations in matters of executive compensation, performance, organization and corporate governance. Jim is a recognized authority on corporate governance and is typically retained by compensation committees as an outside independent advisor on matters of executive compensation. Prior to forming his own firm, Jim worked at three large executive compensation consulting firms. Jim is the author of multiple articles and two books on executive compensation, Pay to Win: How America’s Successful Companies Pay Their Executives (Harcourt 2000), and The Compensation Committee Handbook (John Wiley, 2001, 2004, 2007), which was recently released as a third edition. Jim has a B.S. in Industrial Engineering from Columbia University, and a S.M. in Management from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology, Sloan School of Management.
Jack is a Managing Director at James F. Reda & Associates in Atlanta, Georgia, with over 20 years of experience in the executive compensation field. Jack works closely with Boards of Directors and Compensation Committees to develop executive compensation programs linking business strategies and leadership rewards. Prior to joining JFR, Jack was a principal in Hewitt Associates’ Consulting Group and a member of the firm-wide Hewitt Leadership Group where he directed the firm’s executive compensation practice in the Southeast. Jack graduated from the University of Notre Dame and was a C.P.A. at Arthur Andersen & Co., followed by 17 years at Hewitt.
Kim is a Principal at James F. Reda & Associates in Atlanta, Georgia, and has over twelve years of experience in the executive compensation field. Kim works closely with management and/or the compensation committees of major companies. Kim comes from Hewitt Associates’ Consulting Group, where she consulted with clients in various industries, and graduated from the University of Virginia.
Dave is a Senior Consultant at James F. Reda & Associates, and has over twenty years of experience and functional expertise in economics, sales management, and customer research. Dave is an expert in the valuation of stock-based compensation arrangements, the review of senior executive compensation packages, modeling for FAS 123R purposes, and the design of special situation incentives and change-in-control programs. Prior to joining James F. Reda & Associates, Dave was a Vice President of Sales Operations at Peterson’s, a division of the Thomson Corporation, and was also Vice President of Marketing Services at McGraw-Hill. Dave graduated from Western Illinois University.
Dr. Raber is Board Advisor for James F. Reda & Associates, and the Former President and CEO of the National Association of Corporate Directors (NACD). As the NACD chief spokesman for corporate boards, Roger testified before Congress on the recent corporate governance legislation and reforms, and provided commentary on board governance principles and policies to a variety of policymakers, including the Securities and Exchange Commission, NASDAQ, and New York Stock Exchange. His governance views appear regularly in professional publications, national press and media. Prior to his appointment to NACD in 1999, Dr. Raber was Director of Member Services for America's Community Bankers (ACB) in Washington D.C., and President of the ACB’s Center for Financial Studies in Connecticut. He received his doctorate in education from Columbia University, and has taught in graduate and professional development programs at Johns Hopkins University, Dartmouth College, and the University of Virginia.
Laurence is a C.P.A. with over 11 years of “Big 4” public accounting experience. Laurence worked as a Tax Manager with Deloitte and KPMG’s Employee Benefits Tax Group, specializing in executive compensation matters. His experience includes managing golden parachute excise tax engagements for major U.S. companies (including Fortune 100 organizations) and leading a firm-wide effort to enhance KPMG’s golden parachute tax calculator. At James F Reda & Associates, Laurence works with clients on golden parachute computations, preparation of the SEC required Compensation Discussion & Analysis (CD&A) disclosure, and executive compensation research and plan design. Laurence graduated from the Lehigh University with a BS, in Business and Economics, and Seton Hall University with an MS in Taxation.
